Welcome to the Six Harbour Walk
The Rotary Club of Buckie welcomes you to the 2023 Six Harbour Walk - registration is now OPEN. The walk covers a dramatic 15 mile stretch of the Banffshire Coast, taking in the harbours of Portsoy, Sandend, Cullen, Portknockie, Findochty and Buckie.
Whether you are a first time participant or a regular walker, we can assure you of a special experience. This is a chance to explore the wonderful scenery of this part of the Moray Firth coast.
Walkers meet at the Drifter Car Park in Buckie, and from there are taken by bus to Portsoy. From Portsoy you wind your way west along the coastal footpath to the splendid beach at Sandend. From there the route cuts across the headland to the site of the former salmon bothy at Cullen. The route continues across the wide sands of Cullen beach and then up on to the cliffs at Portknockie, passing the Bow Fiddle rock, before descending to the harbour at Findochty. The last part of the walk follows to coast through Strathlene into Buckie, back to the finishing point in Buckie.
This year all money raised will be used to support local charities. We hope that by taking part in the Six Harbour Walk you can enjoy a day out on this magnificent coast and contribute to the very human and supportive work of these charities.
